How We Are Celebrating

In June, Coborn’s celebrated our core value of Community Giving with several donations made to local non-profits. In commemoration of Coborn’s 100th Year Anniversary, check presentations were made at St. Cloud’s Summertime by George Music Festival, paying tribute to 11 local non-profit organizations that uplift the greater Central Minnesota region through the services they provide.

10 of the 11 charitable organizations received a $10,000 donation, supported by many vendor partners as part of our 100th Anniversary sponsorship program. Benefactors include the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota, Anna Marie’s Alliance, Pathways for Youth, Paramount Center for the Arts, Great Theatre Company, Tri-County Humane Society, Kiwanis, Quiet Oaks Hospice House, and the St. Cloud Rotary.
A $1 Million legacy donation to the Great River Children’s Museum

A $1 Million legacy donation to the Great River Children’s Museum was also presented. The Great River Children’s Museum has been in development since 2012 with a downtown location planned in the former Liberty Bank building. When renovations are complete, the museum will open with five permanent exhibits: Great Big River, Climber to the Clouds, Big Woods Workshop, Bridges to the World and Great Explorations.

“The work that each of these notable organizations do for our community is truly inspiring,” CEO and Chairman Chris Coborn said. “Coborn’s is proud to support these nonprofits, many of whom we have been longtime community partners with. One of our core values is to support charities within our communities through sponsorships which makes our communities stronger and vibrant places to live and work.”

Thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate these local charities. These gifts will continue the mission of these organizations as they continue to serve the St. Cloud Region.
