After you remove meat from a grill, oven, or other heat source, allow it to rest for the specified amount of time. During the rest time, its temperature remains constant or continues to rise, which destroys harmful germs.

Gerber Products Company Announces Recall and Discontinuation of All Batches of Gerber Sooth N Chew Teething Sticks Due to Choking Hazard
Gerber Products Company is initiating a recall and discontinuation of all batches of GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS due to a potential choking hazard for babies and young children. The complete announcement can be found here.
The recall was initiated after receiving consumer complaints of choking incidents. To date, one emergency room visit has been reported to the firm.
Guests who may have purchased GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS should not feed this product to their child and can return the product to the store for a full refund. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a health care provider.

We have been notified that a minimal quantity of American/slicer cucumbers were distributed to us from Wholesale Produce under the Delta Fresh label. These cucumbers grown by Agrotato, S.A. de C.V. in Sonora, Mexico have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
Stores may have received the impacted cucumbers from 12-3 through 12-12. All affected inventory remaining in stores has been pulled and destroyed.
Subsequently, out of an abundance of caution, we have also pulled our Chop Shoppe branded items containing cucumbers as they may have been produced with these impacted cucumbers.
